10 ways to become solution focused with Neuro linguistic programming | NLP is Fun

It is possible to live at cause using Neuro linguistic programming.

As NLP'ers we speak a lot about feeling Powerful, being powerful and living at Cause to create the life that we deserve.
We speak of living at Cause and not effect.

Living at cause = feeling and being in control of your life, "I cause this to happen" I am in charge of my life, I have the capability to choose, make a difference etc.

Living at Effect = feeling Powerless, "This happens to me" People are in control of me and my circumstances.

When being in control even if dark skies seemingly loom ahead because you are "at Cause" you are looking for the light. this becomes a filter, in your thinking and expectations and naturally in your behavior and unconscious choices.

Nadia Harper Neuro linguistic programming Trainer and Coach.

How would your life change if you unconsciously filter a commitment to seeking the light?

Here are 10 ways to become solution focused with Neuro linguistic programming.

1. Keep your radar tuned in to discovering the light because it has to be there somewhere.

2. Speak your own power into being "I can, I will, I am" capable.

3. See yourself as worthwhile, able, capable build up to powerful.

4. Become solution oriented, only focus on the solution and it will become a filter in all your do and how you think and also resolve.

5. Let go of the problem, disengage your kinesthetic responses and learn the structure of how the problem was created.

6. See the construct as pliable either way. Towards a solution or against a solution.

7. Decide the direction you will focus on and assert your power only to back up your commitment to resolution.

8. Do not allow anything to dissuade you from reaching your outcome.

9. Create mental drills that support your outcome.

10. Feel the shift ahead of time and act as if this is true.

Get it if you want it | NLP is Fun | NLP Modeling

Do you know with NLP we are in the business of change and transformation?
We are speaking about Neuro Linguistic programming.
We will create a system for us to get whatever it is that we want, because those of you who know, know the heart of NLP is Modeling.

So, with that being said, define what it actually is that you truly want. and find somebody who is already achieving it in the way you would like to experience it.

Become a student of their behavior, their habits, beliefs, driving forces, rituals and patterns. Then Visualize yourself doing these things as often as you want to actually fully associate to yourself and changing your own perception of whom you are and what exactly.

Now remember that your sensory association to this process is everything, and I mean E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.
In order for you to move into this process You absolutely must shift your consciousness which means begin something Brand Spanking New.

Be Prepared to step into something that looks new, sounds new, feels new, smells and tastes new.
We call this change.

As you focus 100% on these new patterns, they begin to replace the old ways for something even better for you.
And now you know exactly how to do it.

You will love it, be sure to let me know how you get on.

Milton Model Presupposition | " You might become Aware" | NLP is Fun

You might become Aware is a Milton Model Presupposition simply becoming aware is noticing what is already there isn't it.

All you have to do is Notice and when you do you will be plugged in to noticing it and that is a great feeling isn't it.
Who wouldn't choose this.
This brings all of your attention exactly where it is practical and focused on your outcome, the outcome you would really like don't you.
That Trancy feeling of going inside yourself to that harmonious place of possibility and focusing on what you like even more.

Have you noticed what happens first as you become more aware of where your attention is going ?
Perhaps you would like to spend even more time focusing on the things that you like and feel great to you .. it is just a thought.

The Pattern is:

"You might become Aware of _________ when you _________ "

You might become aware of your knowledge expanding easier than before as you read NLP is Fun can you notice the fun feeling of learning more Neuro Linguistic programming now ?

Would you like to have fun with this pattern you might notice this is easier than you think when you use it.

"Now what I would like to do is something simple, and what I would like you to do is to start now, because you see, one of the things about hypnosis is its purely a subjective experience and if you are going to have a subjective experience, you really should do it yourself."

Conversational Hypnosis | Stacking Realities | NLP is Fun

In Neuro Linguistic programming our focus is on creating Transformations always and in all ways NLP Language patterns are a great way to use conversational change that will work in every area of Hypnotic language to create a massive change.
"Stacking Realities" is a process that embeds one story inside another. it can be a little bit confusing as well as relaxing to experience.
Follow along with this simple and yet highly Influential Language pattern.

How to Stack Realities - Conversational Hypnosis

1. Decide on the intended outcome first think of it as a Theme that unconsciously threads your stories together and make sure it meets all well formed conditions.

2. Put together quite a few bite sized story pieces and make sure they all can lead one into another perhaps using the Milton model "Quotes" pattern although you decide what will work best for you.
Example:
I had a client once  a little bit like you as it happens ..... who wanted to .... which had been causing her an enormous amount of worry ... until one day when she met a nice young man at the Bike shop and he said "well you could worry all day and night but will that change it" My father always would say "If you don't like it. fix it" and she realized after a spell all her attention had been going on what she didn't want, and said wow I really  value the process of living in the moment and just being present ....

3. When using quotes take the opportunity to embed a process into the quote
Example:
" Milton Erickson would always utilize what was happening at the time to his own advantage" I heard Richard Bandler say "Think of a Challenge as an opportunity"

4. Test this simple and effective strategy out with a partner and get creative with it.

"Before you learn to give people the right suggestions you must know how to ask the right questions, and the right questions are those that tell you how the problem functions, rather than why the person or his or her therapist believes it occurred"

Richard Bandler

NLP Pattern Visual Squash | NLP is Fun

Neuro linguistic programmers use a pattern called Visual squash which is an NLP Pattern that is easy and fast to over come inner conflict, indecision and unconscious turmoil.
This Exercise is used in Neuro linguistic programming to experience real wholeness for the purpose of well being.

Remember if the unconscious and conscious mind are in conflict the desired state will not happen and the new behavior will not shift into high gear. this feels bad too and can cause other behavioral problems.

Here are a couple of examples of when to use Visual Squash:
You want to loose weight but eat cake all the time and have no willpower
You want to drop your mean friend but find yourself spending more time together
You say you care about doing something different but always do the same thing

Inner conflict feels bad and in the end the person will feel bad about themselves and their behavior.

How to do Visual Squash and resolve internal conflict

1) Identify the area of conflict and make a mental image of each, fully associating in Visual Auditory Kinesthetic Olfactory Gustatory use your hands and put one part in each hand.

2) Learn and Understand the possible highest intention of each part and name them for yourself visualizing each one and feel the weight of each one, is one heavier than another ?

3) Share the positive resources between each of the parts and develop an Image of the integrated shared resources now Visualize it and pay attention to this being a positive feeling.

4) Turn the parts to face each other while focusing on the Third image of the highest intention and positive feeling  and squash all parts into this it is fun to make a sound (like squishing or slapping) when your hands merge together and experience the changes from Problem state into Desired State.

5) Experience the powerful positive energy of the new integration, by bringing your hands to your heart and experiencing your whole wholeness for as long as you like.

6) Pick any situation in the future to future pace your experience of wholeness in a place that in the past may have been in congruent.

A mother brought her son to Mahatma Ghandi. she begged " Please Mahatma tell my son to stop eating sugar"Ghandi paused and then said "Bring your son back in two weeks" Puzzled the woman thanked him and said she would do as he asked. Two weeks later, she returned with her son . Ghandi looked the youngster in the eye and said, "Stop eating sugar" Grateful but bewildered, the woman asked "Why did you have me come back in two weeks to just tell him that, I am sure you could have told him that the first day ?"
Ghandi said "Two weeks ago I was also eating sugar"

7 Habits of a highly Effective NLP Coach | NLP is Fun

If you know about Neuro Linguistic Programming you will know That NLP can be used extremely well for Coaching and Learning, as well as learning how to Model a new behavior.
In many ways NLP Coaching is a highly effective alternative to traditional therapies.
Because of the components emphatically used.

Neuro = Using sensory awareness predicates = to identify and transform experience
Linquistic = Using Language to Identify an Transform patterns
Programming = Rewiring patterns that do not currently work and installing patterns that work highly effectively.

Perhaps you would like to become an NLP Coach or receive NLP Coaching or Training, here are some of the points to consider when choosing a Neuro linguistic programming Coach.

Here are 7 Habits of a highly Effective NLP Coach

1. We are Proactive and creative with the focus on outcomes more than being formal in our approach.

2. Our Sensory awareness is highly developed and we respond to our client in the present rather that creating a strategy of what could or should be done.

3. We demonstrate creative flexibility, adapting and using different approaches that work and teach our clients to use the same approach in their own behavior.

4. We share an unspoken belief that the structure of a clients problem is more important for creating a change than the content of the clients problem.

5. We see every problem as a challenge and an opportunity to learn something

6. We regard the clients circumstance as an attempt to deal with a problem, rather that seeing them as "broken" or "Stuck"

7. We have certain unconscious, intuitive skills and behavior patterns in common.

"Build powerful hope for People, build it not so much from understandings. Build hope from an experience. Create this experience, reality is built from ideas. Create this experience repeatedly. Most of the time, most people have that backwards."

NLP Modeling Exercise | NLP is Fun

Here is a fun way to use NLP to become better at building a skill. In Neuro linguistic programming we call this "Modeling" because we are learning from a role model.

Have a go at making NLP easy and fun, and you can do this is by keeping it simple in the following way.
Credit for this NLP Modeling exercise goes to Richard Bandler co Creator of Neuro lingistic programming 'NLP" .

One of my favourite  things to do is to cook Jamaican food and I modeled my Auntie who used to cook delicious Jamaican food for us that felt great in our hearts and Tummies.
Here is a dish that I cooked recently, and I have become so good at cooking Jamaican food that I also am called to cook many times for my friends and family.

Although I have no plans to own a restaurant, I have successfully catered many private events. Part of the reason is I actually love cooking the food of my heritage.

It is a wonderful anchor that reminds me of great days long gone. As I cook I get to recreate memories for my friends and family and the joy they experience delights me.

Are you ready to become a Modeler ?

Step 1:
Decide what the skill is that you would like to learn or decide on a person you admire and would love to behave like.
Find all media to review and make yourself comfortable and relaxed while reviewing all, and remember the more relaxed you are the more your unconscious mind will easily adopt the behavior.
Notice all Visuals - Auditary - Kinesthetic - Olfactory - Gustatory components.
Observe - Relax - Familiarize the What

Step 2:
When you feel as if you are fully present in the components of this persons actions.
Close your eyes and relax Visualize them doing it with all amplified sensory awareness of their behavior and what they do and how they do it.
Notice all Visuals - Auditary - Kinesthetic - Olfactory - Gustatory components.
Relax - Visualize - Amplify - Notice the How

Step 3:
After you feel as if you have "Got it" then "step in to them and Act as if" you can see through their eyes fully associated to all of their mastery
Step into - Act as if - Experience
Notice all Visuals - Auditary - Kinesthetic - Olfactory - Gustatory components.
Explore in 3D repeat several times noting your discoveries as a strategy for yourself.
Step in to - Explore - Notice

Step 4:
Run again from your own associated position and repeat several times until you can do it without trying too hard.
Notice all Visuals - Auditary - Kinesthetic - Olfactory - Gustatory components.
Repeat - Improve - Adjust

Step 5:
Step out of your persons body completely and retain the applied process integrated into your own natural processes
Notice all Visuals - Auditary - Kinesthetic - Olfactory - Gustatory components.
and re-run this over and over again, improving every single time.
Notice all Visuals - Auditary - Kinesthetic - Olfactory - Gustatory components.
Adopt - Adapt - Run - Improve

Step 7:
Repeat the whole exercise over again and do daily for a month
Notice all Visuals - Auditary - Kinesthetic - Olfactory - Gustatory components.
Perfect - Repeat - 30 days

NLP Future Pace| NLP is Fun

When we have achieved a desired change using a Neuro linguistic programming Pattern we then want to make sure the desired result is set in our unconscious and conscious congruent processes.

We can find out if we are integrating these new NLP Patterns by Future pacing an Imagined unpleasant scenario to find out how well we respond using the new patterns.

This is so simple and here is how:

Imagine a less than resourceful Trigger, that in the past you would have had a negative response to.
Fully Associate to this experience without getting lost in it, just pop in using Visual Auditary Kinesthetic Olfactory Gustatory responses.

Were you satisfied with the way you responded ?

If you were satisfied, test a few more situations that would have caused you grief in the past and find out if you have new responses that you like now there too.

If you have the same responses as before doing the NLP Pattern, then go back to the NLP pattern (you were working on) until you experience a positive and resourceful shift.

When you feel you have shifted into the desired state using the Neuro linguistic programming pattern then future pace again.

Now experience any scenerio's you wanted to double check your progress on and notice you are able to have a completely different response than before.

The new response is resourceful and maintains your desired result and is integrated unconsciously into your selections.

Have you had success with NLP Future pacing before, if so leave your comments as to your discoveries using this technique.

Tote Model of Strategies | NLP is Fun

When providing NLP Coaching and certainly in NLP Training  we are determined to create a check point to know if a strategy of any kind is working at it's highest functioning.

For this reason, every single time we do any pattern we will use the Tote Model of strategies.

The Tote Model is not exclusive to  Neuro linguistic programming as it was created by George Miller, Eugene Galanter and Karl Pibram for developing feedback loops to developed processes that were complete for operating and monitoring human systems for problem solving.

T.O.T.E stands for Test, Operate, Test, Exit.

1) Test where the system is currently
2) Operate a solution for Improvement and higher functioning.
3) Test how well the operation worked to overall functioning of the System.
A) If it provided the Desired Outcome Exit
B) If further resources are needed continue to Operate until an Exit point has been determined by the feedback loop.

4) Exit only when satisfied with the stability of achieving desired result.

NLP | The Excuse Blow out Pattern | NLP

The Excuse Blow out Pattern is credited to Michael L. Hall
This NLP Pattern is a refreshing thing to do while you are relaxing this weekend.
If you think having a Parrot land on your head and get tangled in your hair is fun, think again.
But any way back to this pattern.
The NLP Excuse Blow out Pattern.

You can use NLP to challenge yourself and find out what you are making excuses about and why you are making excuses.

If you want to find out more about your internal processes then let us get started.

Ready, let us go !

Step one:
What exactly is the Excuse (otherwise known as reason) you have not achieved your real goal.
a) What is the behavior and pattern of behavior
b) How is the behavior operated
c) Include all sensory findings V.A.K.O.G

Step Two:
a) How do you feel about this Excuse reason now after doing step one thoroughly.
b) What unconscious findings, have you now discovered
c) What is the highest intention for this behavior

Step Three:
a) Consider the value of the highest intention of this pattern.
b) Dismantle the intention and result of what your highest intention is and redesign it to be more favorable for you.
c) Enjoy the benefits and drop the behaviors previously surrounding the hidden intentions

Step Four:
a) Decide with all certainty to Completely drop the old behavior.
b) See a Visual stop sign
c) Shout Hell no in your loudest internal or external voice
d) Feel the impact of drawing a thick black line in the ground and amplify this.

Step Five:
Test Operate and also notice how much progress you have made ahead of time and notice how else you will now improve here.

Step Six:
Future Pace remember to amplify the VAKOG associations.

*Bonus
Consider designing a swish "Switch" into your new strategy build as you do this pattern.
Most of all, have fun with it.

NLP | How to Improve your calibration skills | NLP is Fun

You can improve your NLP Calibration skills right now, even if you believe you are rubbish at it so far.
I know you have heard a about  NLP Sensory acuity and  NLP Calibration.
Now let us go in a little deeper.

When you experience your NLP Practitioners training you learn the importance of Calibration for building Rapport, and for effectively using NLP full stop.

We improve our calibration not just at NLP Practitioners training but constantly.
The better we are at calibrating in NLP, actually the more flexible we can be and the more we can understand a persons Model of the world and how they are processing.

One of my greatest hero's Bob Marley said among other great things:
"Every action causes a reaction .... "

Honorable Robert Nesta Marley
Now to calibrate also can mean to negotiate ....
Further
Even at a stand still

In fact to Calibrate means to understand the unconscious non Verbal signals.
The out of conscious truth.
All NLP is based on unconscious processing.

You may be able to know what the Transmitter transmits before the Transmitter consciously knows he/she is transmitting such evidence.

This is the beauty of NLP and they may say to you "How did you know this, are you a mind reader ?"
Interesting isn't it.
Also

To be a great communicator can make you a person who thinks differently, staying in the game longer and pays more attention to the other stuff...
This actually is certain as long as you are improving with Neuro linguistic programming.

Like .... The stuff the transmitter is actually communicating unconsciously.

Now,
To observe these transmissions is the beginning.
You have yet to understand what the transmitter can mean by them within this particular context.
However, honestly you now just have a starting point.
Although, you my be piecing it together.

Remember, as an NLP'er we are looking for any thing different, This means:
It feels different
It Looks different
It sounds different
It smells different
It tastes different

The combination of any of these things are clues,
The more you know how to calibrate the easier it will be to solve the puzzle.

You can learn how to understand a persons sequences and this is the goal of calibration.
In NLP this will be their processing strategy.
It is a recipe,
If you observe the person under stress, this is a clue to pay more attention to their behaviour now.

What you hear and see may not match what your unconscious intuition is telling you. This is important to know for a few reasons:

You may miss the turning point of any situation leading you to fail to resolve a thing or worse.
A) with a coaching client
b) Family member
c) Loved one
d) New Job
e) More money or an extended offer

In other words always look for the opportunities.
As with anything, practice makes perfect.

Remember we are looking for any glimmer of a shift in state.

Some traditional NLP areas are

Colour change
Micro expressions
Breathing changes
Posture Change
Sudden movements anywhere
Eye changes
Flaring of nostrils
Tonality shifts
Different eye accessing cues
This is not all please note ALL Subtle state shifts.

Most of all real eyes learning NLP is an ongoing unconscious awareness that will become natural to maybe in the begiing and certainly in the end.
So please refrain from overwhelming yourself and remember to chunk down.
You have got to Relax ...
Learning is easier when you are more relaxed
And also
You can focus on a certain area if you like.

Btw did you know, many people miss loud body language signals and only listen to the words.
They may even argue against unconscious signal being real.
This makes me giggle, every time.
Especially if they are firing off loads of theirs while explaining their delusions.

Remember what Bob said
Every action causes a reaction.
Well begin to notice your own reactions.
Are you easily triggered .... ?
What about if People don't believe in NLP

When I first started I must admit I wanted everyone to learn it.
I still do, although I do not get upset any more if people do not follow through after knowing the value of NLP.

As my grandmother used to say "It will all end in tears you know"
She felt as if practically everything was going to end in tears so no real Biggie ..

BUT!
Notice what you notice and trust yourself.
Have fun with it.

NLP | Simplifying NLP | NLP is Fun

As an NLP Practitioner you become mindful of your state, quickly realizing that "State is everything".
In NLP we speak of Internal representations. This meaning how you "re present" information inside your own head.
(Your version of reality).

The Neuro part of Neuro linguistic programming is about your sensory experience:
Your Neurology
Your Nervous system
How your unconscious mind responds automatically using sensory experience.

This includes how your body automatically responds:
Examples:
  • Embarrassment may change your face colour
  • Nervous may give you a twitch
  • Anger may cause you to speak faster, turn red or shout and more..
  • Love may cause you to smile
  • Anticipation may make your heart beat faster
and so on ..

So Internal representations conscious or unconscious can cause a physiological response.
And changing a physiological response can change state.

For instance, I can shift your attention to just pointing to a thing that symbolizes something else. Or I can use words. Both are a pattern interrupt.
The tell is, what has worked, to create the state shift.

By listening to your linguistics we can usually identify your internal models and we can also change them using linguistics in various patterns to communicate with you.

Programming is a Pattern or a strategy, it can be one you are already using or you can use it to become more effective.
NLP is actually this simple.
You can make your own patterns, they can be established NLP Patterns, they can be adaptations of another persons pattern.

There are no limit.
How you use breath can be a pattern, for instance if it changes your state. Which it usually does.
In NLP we know all external consciousness affects an internal state change.

Communication Verbally
Communication Non verbally

As Neuro linguistic programmers we are looking for the patterns that work and seeking the patterns that seem to be causing a problem.

Many times a person is unaware of their own patterns
An observer may be able to notice them
This is the power of Neuro linguistic programming.

As NLP Practitioners we know what is on the inside will show up on the outside.
Also what appears to be on the outside, usually does influence your state.
This is a presupposition not limited to NLP, many schools of thought have this as a reality.

I invite you to expand your models and seek your patterns. The ones that work and the ones that do not work.
The goal is effectiveness.
NLP is Fun | "Gold Dust"4  Miracles and Magic
The more effective your patterns are the better they will work for you.

Can you find the Suggestion on 2 - 10 ?
Can you find the rear loading intensifier of 2-10 ?

Now that you have the structure,
Time to make up some of your own .... Remember, make it  fun.

NLP | 10 Secrets of Persuasive communicators | NLP is Fun

As an NLP Practitioner you will learn that people have their own way of interpreting their realities. If you are trained in Neuro linguistic programming, the first thing you are taught is to understand another persons "Model of the world".
In today's NLP Blog, I am sharing 10 Secrets of Persuasive communicators on NLP is Fun.

In all great communication, a dialogue is a pleasant shared experience with a intentional destination.
As a Practitioner of Neuro linguistic programming you have the chance to be extremely specific in how you persuade others using:
Your Body Language
Your energy and personal power
Your Linguistics.
You can also consistently calibrate how you are matching by the unconscious feedback they are giving you through signals from their body positioning, energy, words.
Here are a few things to consider in persuasive communication:

Overview:
You have a plan that includes the following:
It always feels great = In NLP we call this Rapport. The conversation is flowing nicely between all participants.
It will easily reach its intended destination without obstruction. No matter what they say, or tactics they throw at you, you stay focused on the end goal and never detour.
You know both parties being happy and satisfied with the journey and destination, is essential. This is true pacing and leading.
You have in mind the goal of their satisfaction always. They are so satisfied that they will want to engage with you, more frequently in other destinations too.

Here are some ways persuasive communicators ensure effective communication.

1. They are continually improving, from a mindset of: Improvement means Improved opportunities.
They consistently study, learn new info, practice and invest in their own self improvement.

2. They always raise their own bar, they have goals and constantly review and challenge their own limitations.

3. They know that to influence any one else one must  always first influence themselves.

4. They never allow rejection to hypnotize them from their desired outcome.

5. They always seek a solution, even in the most bleak of circumstances.

6. They believe the more you learn, the more you earn.

7. They are driven by achievement and the prosperous rewards of achieving, that ensure a higher standard of quality in their lives.

8. They expect challenges, and they are prepared to conquer them.

NLP | D.V.P Pattern | NLP is Fun

One of the great things about Neuro linguistic programming, is that you have a chance to get clear with yourself about what you are hoping to achieve. This means you can also become a better communicator.
As a rule, the clearer you are, the more powerful you become. In order to get clear in the first place, you must go beyond a vague outline of what you desire..

If you have an interest in using NLP as a strategy you must connect to all of the information, organize, prioritize and understand exactly what you mean. We call this being fully Associated  to our outcome.
When you do this you will become very clear in fine tuning your communication internally (In your own mind) and externally (While speaking to others).

This is so important to gain leverage in persuading anyone that you are serious about your outcome.
When you are clear about the outcome and you can then learn to believe in it.
Then achieving it, is a natural conclusion for everyone.

Have you ever had a conversation with somebody who has a rough idea of what they want and they have no idea how to explain it to you.
If so you may remember experiencing their confusion leaves you confused too.
Then when they may become overwhelmed and upset and then pass this on to you too.

As an NLP Coach, I am constantly telling Entrepreneurs, Speakers and Sales people to powerfully refine their communication internally to work well externally.
Remember, I always say that maintaining your state is everything. If you maintain your state you also maintain your power.
This pattern allows you to execute your communication as effectively as possible,

If you have been reading "NLP is Fun" for a while, you may know that I am an NLP Trainer who Certifies NLP Practitioners.
I also teach individual NLP Patterns through "NLP is Fun" NLP Study group.
One of the reasons I first created my NLP Practice group over 8 years ago now was to simplify one NLP pattern at a time in an easy and fun way that everyone can relate to.

In doing both, I have learned to emphasize that the process is also an important part to achieving the result.

The best Process gets you there faster and easier. If you start out with a great process, you can enjoy this as much as the result. With a great process, you can try it on in another context.
If you get creative enough, sometimes the same process will fit another "Situation" too.

My NLP Mastermind members will tell you that you if you know it, you do it.  As Bob Marley said who knows it feels it.
So clarity is essential in all of your processes.

Having a rough idea is never enough detail.
You must be able to see the Big picture as well as plan the detail and they must all fit in together.
This is called Chunking Up (Abstract) and Chunking down (Detail).

Even learning one NLP pattern, that you know how to use easily and effectively leads you to having an open mind about your own capability. When you Learn NLP and maximizing what you have learned you become more experienced in how your NLP Toolset works.
I wonder how much more would your own life would improve when you became fluent in using NLP easily.

My desire is that you have fun with this pattern, and anything else I offer you and fully use it to your own advantage.

The D.V,.P Pattern credit goes to Robert A. Yourell:
(Distillation, plus Vision, plus Passion).

I found this NLP Pattern in Shlomo Vaknin's "Big book of NLP". If you would like more exposure to Robert A. Yourell's interesting work then please enjoy this Hypnotic  "Shimmering" Video sample.
Here we go:

1. Choose the situation to be explored in greater detail.
Turn all of your thoughts into notes to remember on a piece of paper
2. Take a moment to just notice your notes, and ask yourself:
a  "what if I can create more detail here"
b  "Lets prioritize them"

3. Distill the thoughts by chunking down
Ask yourself:
"Which bits if any, are unnecessary"

4. Distill the notes again
Ask yourself :
"What if I can make it even easier"

5. Distill the notes even more. Take a look at the themes, key points or metaphors that stand out to you.
Create a slogan now to highlight and trigger this information. (think like a "Mad men" or an Advertising exec).

6. Connect to the information, in such a way that you would be able to add your own flair to it.
Create some flash card sized talking points that would simply communicate your message. Remember to be as engaging and passionate as possible.

7. Kick it up a notch. Practice speaking to other people while getting your point across.
Anticipate maintaining your power and your message no matter what they throw at you.
Make this into a pitch that you own inside out.
Imagine scenarios where you are using this pattern: This could be in an interview, sale, relationship, presentation or any environment where you aim to be more persuasive.

8. Fully associate to all you have learned while refining this process so far.
Add pieces that turn it into a very smooth an easy conversation. Remember to think win win, while still being calm and strong about getting your point across.
even practice using it with people who you at one time thought of as difficult or opposing to your own desires and visualize them being persuaded by you using this pattern.
Make it an interesting story perhaps and something they can relate to.

9. Take enough time and energy to fully associate to and believe in this process.
Prepare yourself before using it.
For it (or any process) to work wonders you must see yourself as capable and filled with vital energy. Always check your own energy levels and adjust accordingly.

10. T.O.T.E
Practice always makes perfect. You cannot fail unless you stop at a point where it has not worked yet.
Test = Insert process
Operate = And gain feedback while improving and adjusting
Test = If you receive desired result go on to exit otherwise go back to improving and adjusting
Exit = When you are satisfied with feedback.

10 Easy NLP Communication Tips | NLP is Fun

Did you know, one of the NLP presuppositions is "The meaning of your communication, is the response you are getting"
In other words how your communications lands, is the impact of your Communication,
Remember,  a great rule of thumb is:
Does it feel good or bad ?
There is a great chance that, if you feel bad when you communicated it, it will feel bad when being received.

Sometimes in a misunderstanding, the person who communicated did not mean to offend another person.
However, the person can still get offended. The person can experience the offence and still choose how to respond.
The action following the impact is in the hands of the receiver.
The receiver can always choose how they respond to any offence.

The transmitter can adjust their message.

In the end good emotional self management is essential to all parties.
The less a person can manage their emotions the more often they will find themselves being offensive and offended.

In communication, so many factors are present, so here are 10 easy NLP Communication Tips that work every single time:

1) Become even more mindful of your own intentions and clearly understand what you mean before you even start.

2) Calibrate the feedback you get from the persons response, begin to notice everything
a) What can you see
b) What can you hear
c) How does it feel

3) Always decide to take the higher ground, getting the communication back into the "feel good" zone

4) Be flexible and focused on your original outcome and intention always
5) Observe any triggering effects present in your own responses
6 ) Decide to become less reactive and more proactive in all communication
7) Use Breath to centre yourself at all times
8) Believe you are capable, of getting things back on track
9) See yourself as powerful, visualize the resolution
10) Hear yourself sounding at your best and others responding well to you.

If you spend a few moments practicing this each time, it will become an unconscious process for you.
I must say, the dividends are endless, starting with you feeling better.

Richard Bandler used to say "How much pleasure can you stand" ?
I think that is the real question. don't you ?

Tricks of the Mind | NLP is Fun

The Mind is very good at convincing you of anything. This has nothing to do with if it is true or not.

Things that you are afraid of are just "What ifs", beliefs. your own home made ideas that you have had on rotation long enough to think of as real. Illusions we know by now that reality is subjective but try explaining that to somebody having a panic attack !
Instead though, there are so many things that you can do to quickly get control of Overwhelm and fear like this for example

To enjoy Peak states we must learn to begin to diligently break down these mental constructions in our mind at the times when there is no pressure to perform.

You can train your mind to become your best friend and ally.

In NLP we speak about Phobia’s a great deal. Phobia’s are not the exception to the rule as one may
think,  In fact, they are a demonstration of how easily we can influence ourselves with suggestions.
This is Self hypnosis at it’s best.

We have programmed our mind to do what we have asked it to do.

“As the Thinker thinks the prover proves”.

Our mind wants to follow out our regular programming and is certainly resistant to change.

Change is good, as long as it is not happening in a way we don’t want it to right ?
Or perhaps this is not true.

Maybe even problems are good and hold value
Perhaps a challenge is just a chance to improve
What if we were to re frame the meaning ?

This means that (bad)
And that means for sure we are all going to die (worse)

And could also mean

This means that (Good)
And that means we will all get something better now
Isn’t that a relief and a stress release ...

What if we did this instead ?

So the meaning we have decided without really knowing for sure in NLP we call this a "Mind read" which is a Distortion in the Meta Model.

There is information Deleted and yet we have drawn a very fuzzy conclusion.
Guess what, this happens all the time.

Sometimes it can be as simple as following the fear to it’s worst conclusion and then asking well
what about if ________________________ happens

What will happen then
And how will that affect you
Is that really true ?

Do you know this for sure ?
Has there ever been a time when _____________ happened to anyone and they were OK
Has there ever been a time when ___________________ happened and they were really good in fact they thrived?

This is about connecting to the distortions, as this happens it takes the stuffing out of them.

We are using the Meta Model to begin to chunk down from the ambiguous trains of thoughts.
This means if it is a thought it must earn its position to influence us so greatly.

We must know for sure it is absolutely
Solid Gold
Lock tight
The absolute undisputed truth
Verifiable
Provable
Swear on the bible
Everyone in the whole world will recognize it as truth without any problem.
In other words, it is a scientific fact well documented by scientists and other likely learned fellows.

Can you prove your Fear is absolutely True ?
Make a List of 10 ways in which you know for sure your Fear is going to happen.
