Ask this question | Emotional Shifting | NLP is Fun

 Ask this question as an NLP Coach and or Hypnotherapist and begin the process of change and Transformation instantly.

As a skilled Neuro linguistic programmer the more pattern interrupts you have at your finger tips the more creative you will be.

This one Emotional Shifting Hypnotic question will allow your client to go inside and continue the resolution process this breaking the pattern of "Holding" the Problem.

This language pattern is quick, efficient and easy it is a constant thought provoking tool that works in the right direction during the course of any session.

Credit for this pattern comes from The Language Pattern Bible by Kerin Webb p732 and it is called "Emotional Shifting" 

When a Client says " I feel lonely" the NLP Coach will say "And how do you feel about feeling lonely" it is a very simple way to redirect the thinking of a person who is saying they "Feel ______________ " of course the goal is to allow the client the space to discover new solutions inside of them and this creates a framework for that.


Speaking to you as an NLP Trainer, I have discovered the simpler the language pattern the more comfortable you as an NLP Coach and NLP Practitioner might feel using it. 

Try it on for size and ask yourself this question first, so you know how it feels and you have experienced it before.
Be sure to remember to ask this  question to your client the next time they seem to be in a pickle and looping an unhelpful pattern.

Here is another example of how to use it.

Client says "I feel _________"
Coach says " And how do you feel about feeling ___________ "

10 Steps that Powerfully Transform your Emotions in 4 Minutes 

Neuro linguistic programming is perfect for creating lasting and effective change. With your emotions as well as helping other people to get out of a "stuck state" too.

We call this Changing your state or State change and much of NLP is about going from one state to another depending on what you want. It may be that you want to break the pattern of one state and then go into another state that leads to a "Chain" of reactions all leading into the congruent elements of a desired state.

Or perhaps you can go from an unhappy state state into a cozy state and now the original problem is not being experienced and there is now room for other possibilities. I am sure you know there are Infinite possibilities and they can often be found once you have shifted your state. If you are experiencing a state of survival the choice more frequently than not appears to be limited.

NLP is fun is all about huge shifts from a Problem to a desired state as efficiently as possible in the least amount of time, and if it is simple and fun it may seem "doable" to more people. Remember a "Trance" is what you are focusing on and it is that which has all of your attention. It is very easy to shift your attention.

Interrupt the pattern by focusing on something you like, and fill in the details of how much you would love that.

Relax and have a Treat

Consider the statement "Energy flows where attention goes". This may be a definition of consciousness that sounds something like this: Your reality is subjective to your experience.

What you are experiencing Seems Extremely real and you are experiencing it with all of your attention and highlighting all of the detail.

What you are experiencing with all of your attention may become your "intention" albeit unconsciously. Another way of saying that is you are creating your experience. Your experience is based on your beliefs and your beliefs can very easily change using NLP.

I am sure if your beliefs are affecting your emotions in the opposite direction of what you love, it is worth sourcing a change for the better.

What if it were possible, would you like to create a shift ?

  1. Bring all of your attention inward and focus on your breathing pattern close your eyes and desensitize the problem you were focusing on.
  2. Slow your breathing down 3 breaths in and 3 Breaths out.
  3. Breathe as slowly as you can and focus on holding the breath as long as you can before releasing it slowly.
  4. Slow your heart rate down using your mind and speaking it in to being ("I have the power to slow my heart rate down")
  5. Think of yourself as having the ability to affect how your body works as well as your mind.
  6. watch all of thoughts fly away on the back of a beautifully patterned butterfly right in between their wings for safe keeping ( you can decide later if you still need them or dissolve them).
  7. Relax deeper, tell yourself to let it go 
  8. Notice the new sensations of calm and relief of relaxation in your body.
  9. Decide to feel good because you can and indeed it feels wonderful.
  10. Focus on visualizing what you really want while maintaining this state of being.
* Bonus Tip:
Consider Amplifying this great state by spinning your feelings and sitting in the state longer to immerse yourself in it even further and right before your reach peak intensity anchor it using any sensory stimulus like pressing your thumb to your finger or pressing two fingers on your neck.
You will then be able to press it later on and recreate that exact state, it works as a sensory recording of the new state you have created. There are lots of different ways you can "Anchor" a state and NLP is Fun has many posts on it right here on this NLP Blog.

You see, once you have shifted your Physiology you have changed your state. The more you practice with this the better you will become at it.

The beauty of it for me is knowing you can be doing this in your head in 4 minutes.

Managing your State | NLP is Fun

 Hello Dear Friends it has been a while hasn't it.

So much has happened in the last two years and our MOW has inevitably shifted somewhat. It feels as if on many levels we have wondered into the twilight zone.  I am sure it has been disruptive for you, too and so how are you doing ? 

"Remember there is no spoon"

In 2020 the Live (in person) Study groups for the most part disbanded as we were unable to have live training or large get togethers at the time.
We have continued to get together online and I will post each event as it comes up for you to attend if you would like to.

In the meantime, please remember there are over 300 and something posts about Neuro Linguistic programming and Hypnosis on NLP is Fun Blog and so please continue to enjoy any of these NLP Training posts.

So for this moment, I would like to remind you as to the importance of  your own self management. You may feel as if the world being "Topsy turvy" creates a sense of Uncertainty for you, and if that is true remember to be the driver of your own bus.

Build Your Own state and Practice your reactions ahead of time 

This means choosing how or if you will become reactive and what that might mean for yourself. In many cases that is something that is better practiced before hand and it might look a little like this:

Create a daily ritual of becoming less and less reactive and more proactive in your own State management. You can Practice maintaining your state in highly stressful situations like this

Emergency pack = Breathing mastery, since it instantly controls Physiology and therefore state. Breath being the fastest was to achieve this. 3X3 deep breaths or 5 solid minutes of deep breathing.
This works best, when you have taught yourself to respond in this way for minor incidents rather than beginning in the middle of a "Fustercluck" that really threw you for 6.

NLP Milton Model Presuppositions | NLP is Fun

Neuro linguistic programming Milton Model Presuppositions 

Hello, today on this NLP is Fun I will cover NLP Milton Model Presuppositions.
A Milton Model Presupposition in Neuro linguistic programming is defined as 
"Something which has not been stated but is assumed to be included for the whole statement to be understood properly".
 

1. Subordinate clauses of time
Before, After, During, As, Since, Prior, When, While .... etc

  • Before you completely relax, remember to close your eyes and take a deep breath ..
  • After you have enjoyed the full effects of this session you will notice this problem has become a thing of the past.
  • During Trance you know the feeling of comfort will increase probably before you have even noticed 

2. Ordinal Numerals
Another, First, Second, Third etc ...

  • Another 10 minutes will make all the difference to perfecting this steak
  • First, sit comfortably inside the Trance Chair and then allow the magic to happen
  • Second, now that you have decided to completely relax just enjoy the sensation.

3. Use of Or 
  • The Word "Or" between the given choices
  • Do you prefer your Chocolate drink Cold or Hot
  • Will you design the patio later today or tomorrow
  • Does going in a trance now or going all the way down later interest you the most  

4. Awareness predicates
Know, Aware, Realize, notice ... etc

  • You may know more about solving this problem than you once felt
  • You might be aware that everything is now changing
  • Do you realize going into a trance even now is simpler than ever, relax

5. Adverbs & Adjectives 
Deeply, Easily, curious, about ... etc 

  • A person can even go deeply in to trance without even knowing how their unconscious mind works
  • There is no need to struggle to go into trance instead you may experience it easily now
  • I know you are curious about going into Trance aren't you 
6. Change of time Verbs and Adverbs 
Begin, End, Stop, Start, Continue, Proceed .. etc

  • As soon as you begin to notice you are relaxing you will be enjoying the sensation of a light trance
  • In the end the result is even more important than the process, isn't it
  • You can stop enjoying the healing effect of trance at any time, you know

7. Commentary Adjectives & Adverbs 
Fortunately, Luckily, happily ... etc

  • Fortunately, you know how you can relax all by your self
  • Luckily for you are a great trance subject, and you flop straight into trance
  • Isn't it nice to see how Happily you make the best choice for yourself

Language Matters - NLP is Fun

Language Matters doesn't it, some people say that Words are just words, those of us whom use words on purpose know the power of words don't we.

As Occultists, Philosophers and Psychologists know Words have magical Effects.
Richard Bandler  - Guide to Transformation page 31 

Words have enormous Power and speak directly to a persons Unconscious mind. If this were not so advertisers and sales people alike would not spend so much time on writing the "Copy".

Words trigger responses in other people, words are hypnotic,  words are influential, words are suggestions.

Your words can create an unintentional meaning in other people, perhaps you did not even mean to, in this Chaos culture of 2020 please think before you speak.

Many of you know I am a LOUD advocate for the Civil rights of Black people world wide.
Of course personally it means something to me, that it may not mean to you.

With that being said, it can mean something to you if you care.
An example of this is, those of you know I love Dogs and Animals. I spoke out quite a bit when people used to say nasty things about Pit bulls and tried to generalize about their behavior.
I care about the treatment of Dogs passionately although I am not a dog.

In this Blog post I would like you to consider that words matter, we could argue about the meaning of words blah blah blah.

I am going to be transparent with you.
Any one of us can find a word that insults another person, this is why words matter.
If you care about becoming an excellent communicator that is not an ***hole.

Think before you speak !
Calibrate the meaning of your communication.

Real eyes words can be substituted for words that  work better within a certain context. you loose nothing, in fact you exercise your skill in being mindfully creative and flexible.

If you put your foot down against it, well in my mind you are on the wrong side of an argument.
Change your words to be empathetic to a persons experience.

Treat people with the dignity and respect any one of us desires.

NLP Milton Model | Indirect Patterns of Elicitation | NLP is Fun

Do you like Ericksonian Hypnosis, if you love Neuro Linguistic Programming you would love these Indirect Elicitation patterns which come from the Milton Model. which of course is the Language Modeled by Richard Bandler and John Grinder on Milton Erickson


Here are Milton Ericksons Indirect elicitation patterns 
Using them will get a response that is extremely specific even though it is requested in an indirect way.

Embedded Commands
Softeners on either side and the Command Embedded in to the middle. I have written about this extensively here 
"Perhaps you already know that you will decide to go, in the end"


Analogue Marking 
Set the Command apart by using some type of Marker you are "Marking" out an action that needs to be taken either by changing your voice tonality in some way or using a tool to touch as you speak of this action each time.
"You may realize that Everyone loves being Hypnotized in one way or another" 

Embedded Questions 
And Embedded Question is a Question that is hidden within a larger statement.  
"I am wondering if you would like to be hypnotized again when we next do it" 

Negative Commands
Put the Negative first and act as if you do not want what you want.
"I don't know if you like this style of language pattern or not" 

Conversational Postulates 
If I say this, you could say yes or no but what I really like about it, is that you take instant action instead.
"Could you shut the door" 

"So as you go inside, wherever you go when you get in there I often wonder where you go inside, you know how far can you go, and what I want you to do is remember ."

Remember these incredible hypnotic patterns begin the process of change and transformation as the person has to go inside to discover all of their answers.These are suggestions within suggestions that work wonderfully, can you imagine how well they will work for you to now ?

Milton Model Presupposition | " You might become Aware" | NLP is Fun

You might become Aware is a Milton Model Presupposition simply becoming aware is noticing what is already there isn't it.

All you have to do is Notice and when you do you will be plugged in to noticing it and that is a great feeling isn't it.
Who wouldn't choose this.
This brings all of your attention exactly where it is practical and focused on your outcome, the outcome you would really like don't you.
That Trancy feeling of going inside yourself to that harmonious place of possibility and focusing on what you like even more.

Have you noticed what happens first as you become more aware of where your attention is going ?
Perhaps you would like to spend even more time focusing on the things that you like and feel great to you .. it is just a thought.

The Pattern is:

"You might become Aware of _________ when you _________ "

You might become aware of your knowledge expanding easier than before as you read NLP is Fun can you notice the fun feeling of learning more Neuro Linguistic programming now ?

Would you like to have fun with this pattern you might notice this is easier than you think when you use it.

"Now what I would like to do is something simple, and what I would like you to do is to start now, because you see, one of the things about hypnosis is its purely a subjective experience and if you are going to have a subjective experience, you really should do it yourself."
