NLP is Fun | Take a Break

Have you ever noticed, We live such a fast paced life that it doesn't actually occur to us to take a break sometimes it is all about squeezing so much in so such a short space of time.


 We may have even bought into the belief that if we do not keep on going (even when we are on E) we will loose productivity.

The truth of it is though are we just doing busy work ?
In fact if you take a break and go inside yourself to recharge, you will begin to notice you are actually following your own real intention and connecting once again to your best resources.

Isn't it important to check in and take a break rather than just throwing any old s&%% against the wall just to push something tangible out ?
It depends on you and how clear you are with your life goals and what you are really are truly serious about working towards.

Busy work is not actually productivity, also have you defined ahead of time what you hope to achieve.
As you connect to yourself and your own intention you will get clear and if that means stopping everything then do that.

Spend some time in Breath, and get with 10 steps to congruent goal achieving to figure things out.
A Powerful recharge will change everything if you give yourself the permission to be your best self coming from your most highest intention.


Trust me life still happens with or without you for a few moments, hours, days, weeks, or however long you want.

When I speak about Killing it 2015 this is a huge part of this process, finding your own highest purpose and intention for your life and using every moment purposefully to experience the absolute most out of your life experience.

Even if it is not fabulous in your life at the moment, something great is happening and unless you are willing to experience it fully you will not find it.

Kahlil Gibran said in his wonderful book "The Prophet"
 "The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain". If this is the case all experience has purpose doesn't it.

Belief Check points | Meaning and Significance | NLP is Fun

Did you know, the meaning you attach to any circumstance will define the significance of your experience.
Remember we have discussed the idea that Beliefs are made up. and are not real.
When it comes to beliefs today we are speaking about what you have decided something means.

For example:
  • What did this Event mean, why did _____________ happen?
  • What Did this person mean when they Said/Did/Implied ________________?
  • What have I decided Now
  • What am I going to choose to do about this
Your Actions are based on these decisions, which for the most part are unconscious processing and because of this there are frequently no check points to question these beliefs  which means they are just accepted. What if you could interview yourself about these beliefs.

The thing is, perhaps the real question should be:
Is what you are doing now, helpful or not ?
Is it getting you to your destination ?


There is a consequence to having beliefs that limit you in any way isn't there. I am sure you know this already, In this Post I explained how your action is based on your Belief.
So if your action is based on your belief, that surely means your results are based on your beliefs too.
Let us begin to understand how this is happening.

Exercise:
You have lots of reasons that you Can't do _____________ but you want __________ don't you?
So you say to yourself as well as others:
I would __________________________ but I can't because I don't have ___________ and I don't have ___________ because of ____________

Fill in the gaps and review it for yourself you will discover what your own limiting belief truly is.
It is quite interesting to experience it in this format isn't it. let us go further.

For example:
Have you decided __________________ is not possible because of your past results in _________?

Let us discover a simple re - frame. We can change the direction of the frame which will help us to understand what we mean at the Deep Structure.
In other words, what is underneath this choice ?
Why are we choosing this ?
What do we really mean ? 

Turn it around:
If this is the case, what would happen if you eliminated this belief and did the exact opposite ?
What would the consequence be ?
What if you turned it around completely ?

Is it Possible ?
For anyone ?
For Me ?
Am I capable ?
Do I need additional resources ?

Do I want it enough to apply the effort ?
Am I connected to the outcome ?
Is this the best way ?
Have I changed my mind ?
How High is this on my priority list ?

How Much Significance does the end result Hold ?
Is this a Try or a Must ?
Why Must you have it ?
Get connected to your outcome, find out more here  ?
How does this effect your Ecology now and later ?
What will you gain in the short Term?
What will you gain in the long term ?

Are you congruent with the outcome  ?

How to Elicit Desired States | NLP is Fun

When eliciting  any desired states you can follow this formula to make sure you have created a change that is lasting at the Deep Structure.

Lets Get Cracking this is going to be quite detailed so you may like to get into a quiet corner and take some notes with a pen and a piece of paper.
If you are ready we will get started.

1. Must be Stated in the Positive.
What exactly would you like ?
Where will this happen ?
Who will be around, too ?
When will this happen ?

2. Must be initiated and also Maintained Independently by the Person who wants the outcome.
Do you need additional resources?
Does this fit your complete ecology?
Are you congruent about this?
Do all of your parts agree?

3. Sensory Evidence is Essential to defining this outcome.
How will you know you have achieved this?
Use full V.A.K.O.G. Sensory experience see link for a detailed description on NLP Representation processing styles..
Visual = What will you see?
Auditory = What will you hear?
Kinesthetic = What will you Feel?
Olfactory = What will you smell?
Gustatory = What will you taste?
As you go along, so that you know you are on the right track and, When you have achieved your outcome.

4. Use Cartesian Coordinates

5. Is there a benefit to having or even keeping the problem?
Do a full investigation of any secondary gain to doing the behavior.
Bonus questions:
How do you know the new Outcome is going to be worth it?
When where and with whom does NOT HAVING IT work for you ?

6. Investigate the Full Ecology of the end result
How will this effect:
Relationships
The whole system of how this person functions
Living situations
Finances
Loved ones
Expectations
Greater Goals and Values
Arrangements
Career
Etc ...

7. Will there be anything different about your life when you have the outcome ?
What exactly will be the Impact of this benefit
Go Meta into detail of the Impact of the Benefit and even the loss of the current situation

8. Are you fully congruent and ready to experience this outcome now? 
Yes
No

9. Future pace
 Use mental drills checking for V.A.K.O.G and spatial submodality cues and shifts.

10. Additional Bonus: 
If you want further clarity you can go through the whole process of 10 steps to congruent Goal achieving to help you get really clear with your desires and then treat yourself to learning more about Well formed outcomes  when you do this you will have secure the outcome that you really want, right up front.

The Questions to Elicit the Present State:
What is the Problem?
How do you know it is a Problem?
How do you do this behavior, How do you know how to have it?
How do you know when to have it, do the behavior ?
How do you know who you should have the problem with ?
How do you know where you should have the Problem?
What stops you from changing the problem ?

You can Always go there first in your mind and Practice.
Then reverse engineer how you got there.

10 Step to congruent Goal Achieving


We have talked about Well formed Outcomes before where I explain the NLP process of executing a Goal.
In this post I am talking about the mind set needed to create the perfect energetic space for congruent Goal setting.

To achieve a goal can be easier said than done, in life there are tons of variables aimed at grabbing our attention. If we are not careful we can easily get distracted without even knowing it, sometimes an unconscious desire is driving this kind of behaviour.

It is very important to create a state of congruence before hand and get clear, you can take a moment out to truly jump start your goal achieving with these 10 simple steps.


#1 Flush out the Clutter
For many people clarity and complete freedom from emotional clutter is a new idea.
You can try it on for yourself to notice the stillness that exists within that kind of harmony.

#2 Get clear and in alignment
Take a moment to relax in a comfortable chair,
Focus on any one thing internal or external
Release all judgment and thought as you just begin to stretch your body and your mind in relaxation and notice.. Your own breath

Slow all breathing down; even notice your chest rise …. And fall down gently.
As a light green blanket of peace flutters gently over you and your life .. softly brushing your cheek first then enveloping each part of your skin in one soothing motion.

Peace abounds, as you become one … with yourself, with your mind, body and soul.
As the Universe and you merge into one abstract source of energy.
Now close your eyes… if you haven’t already.

#3 Visualize the Big Picture
Now.. It is time to understand an overview of what the big picture is for you
Allow any pictures, feelings, sounds and vibrations to come into your presence and begin to notice them.
You can often tell by your own physiology and any signs of stress, faster breathing for example if this is a great fit for you, at even an unconscious level.

#4 Release all negative belief and feeling
Exhale all discord and begin to release any limiting belief, staying in positive expectation.
Gain an understanding of how to create this feeling as a physical external projection.
Focus your energy where you need it the most on creating and sustaining Empowering Belief.



 #5 Begin to form a Plan of Action
What are the next steps?
Take time to fill in the gaps of missing details even if they are abstract or hazy to begin with if they carry weight and you are drawn to them, allow yourself to explore them further.
Now begin to get even clearer.

#6 Set an Intention
Before one creates a lasting change one must have an intention, a reason for desiring the positive change in the first place.
Intention is always best understood when one is in a mood of wellness harmony and peace, take a moment to meditate on your highest intention

Ask yourself what is my intention for this action, what do I want to get out of this and what need or desire does it truly serve and secondly: why is this important to me.
Take the time out to understand the answers fully.

#7 It needs to be compelling enough to create movement
It must be compelling, enough so that on even days when you don’t feel like it, at an unconscious level there is motivational snap back to get you back in the saddle.

#8 Figure out the next steps
Once you have decided on your intention, find out what are the next steps.
Notice your energy, Physiology, and your mind state and maintain vital well being.

#9 Become Focused and Resilient
There is stuff in life that just happen, to everyone, some more than less. Decide to stay on target and watch out for massive energy drainers.

Commit to become resilient and super focused, ask yourself:
“Is this helping me to reach my goal”.
If the answer is no, Revise your Action sooner rather than later.

#10 Don’t stop till you get enough
Keep going; take it from the top until you reach your goal.
Remember when you are ready to make your Goals Well Formed Outcomes these steps will guide you through.

NLP | Well Formed Outcomes Explained | NLP is Fun

One of the most important Processes we can Do is really Get Clear with our Wants and Desires.
Before doing this exercise you can make sure you are congruent and really clear with This exercise 

When Goal setting in NLP we Chunk Down to the most Minute Detail, until we can actually have some real markers to Calibrate our Progress along the way, and have gone through Mental Drills of what Having it, would really be like.


I invite you to take some time and work on this exercise by yourself, Get Really Clear about what you want.
Your Well formed Outcomes Need to be:

1. Stated in the Positive.
i.e: I will achieve Excellence as a Professional Ballroom Dancer.

2. State what YOU can do and maintain (Independently).
i.e: When I complete the state Levels and win, I will then go on to practicing 4 hours a day and hiring a dance Coach to become more competitive.

3. Context, Where, Whom, and When. 
i.e: I am going to Win the Championships in Ballroom Dancing next March in Las Vegas at the Venetian, Rob and the rest of the crew will be there.

4. State Specifically in Sensory Based Language.
i.e: I will see myself wearing a beautiful Pink Dress while being handed the Trophy for the Gold, I can hear the crowd cheering and calling out my name, I feel elated on Cloud nine.

5. Sequential Bite Sized Chunking.
i.e: starting today I will practice 2 hours a Day, when I win the state Level, I will then step my game up and go to 4 hours a Day Practice, 2 between 8-10 am and 2 at 6-8pm, I am going to hire Carlos who I have already spoken to and from there I will .....

6. Be Specific and Include necessary resources.
i.e: According to my Funds I have enough money to cover me till the state Championships, at which time I am expecting to gain attention from a Sponsor, I have already spoken to ...

7. Specify Sensory specific Evidence of Achieving outcome.
i.e: When I can feel the Cold Gold Trophy in my hands and my heart is beating fast and I can hear myself say I just want to thank My Mum, then I will have achieved my Outcome.

8. Associate to Motivation for Outcome, and make it compelling.
i.e.: I am looking forward to the $500 k prize and all the sponsorships I will be offered .. I will be Rich !

9. Ecology Check - Does this fit your overall Functioning.
i.e: I am Ecologically Sound, I do not have a Baby or a Husband and I have always wanted the adventure so I can still respect my ecology.

You can do this List for every Goal you have, It really challenges what you say you want and you get the chance to experience and practice it which is great Mental Mastery.
