What is a Yes Set | NLP is Fun

If you are in sales you may have heard of a Yes set and you may not yet be sure what exactly that is.

Let's go through it shall we.
A Yes set will look and sound like this

So you made it then ?
Was it raining when you left?
Did you get my text this Morning?

Now that is three yes's
Isn't it, assuming the person said yes.

The way to get the yes is by asking questions you undeniably know the answer is going to be yes to.

Then you ask a real question you want a Yes answer to either directly or setting it up with a couple soft and cozy ones first.

Like this:

"So you are coming to football on Tuesday then "
They agree and say Yes.

Liverpool killed it against (whomever) did you see the match
2 more yes's

"You gonna bring your kit and play this time"
They agree and say yes.

Is Holly over yours ...Yep

Gonna sign up for team training ?
yeah might as well.

So now they have said yes to you about signing up for your course.

And the person unconsciously has been programmed to say yes.

It is not an exact science, so you need to calibrate your pace and lead ratio.
As always go with your instinct.

Now you have a go !
Remember you need loads of Rapport as that will make a big difference to the level of ease the person feels.

If you want it get it | NLP is Fun

There is something so amazing about changing your mind and turning your whole situation around.
When you have had enough with being sick and tired.
Just Decide
Decide to go harder
Decide To give it more
Decide to stop what you are doing that isn't working
Decide to unleash your truest passion
Decide to Love yourself
Decide to give it all you got until you get it

There are so many people that have been tattered and torn by Life
And Give up
Give in
Quit
They may as well just roll over and say Life do what you will with me because I have lost my will to fight back.

It takes more than that.
More Courage
More creativity
More persistence
More discipline
More refined Action

Just more ..
Commitment and Effort.
If you want it, I mean really want it, then get it
Do not let anything stand in the way of your Happiness.
You deserve the best.

If you are in two minds and want some relief then this will help.

10 Solid Reasons you absolutely Must achieve your Goal | NLP is Fun

10 Solid Reasons you absolutely Must achieve your Goal | NLP is Fun

When you associate to your Goal, your Goal comes to life as a Reality. You know exactly what you want and exactly why it is important to you.
This is essential for Peak performance and acheivement.
Some time ago we spoke about Well formed Outcomes which is an NLP Staple to productivity.

I also wrote a post on 10 steps to congruent Goal achieving which I often use as a warm up to well formed Outcomes with my Coaching clients.
Before spending quality time doing these exercises, you can easily just simplify what you are doing for speedier results and fully associate V.A.K.O.G to every aspect of receiving it.

For this reason create a List of 10 Solid Reasons why you absolutely Must achieve this Goal, including all sensory experience (V.A.K.O.G):
What you will Visualize when you have it
What you will Hear when you have it
What you will Feel when you have it
What you will smell and taste once you have it

Immerse and delight yourself in the intense pleasure of it all.
Give yourself a sensory overload, so that it feels natural to you to have it.
This will make your Goal believable to your unconscious mind.
Keep this list somewhere that you can see it frequently throughout the day and remind yourself of this constantly.

NLP Technique "The Agreement Frame" | NLP is Fun

You would not keep throwing multiple Balls to your dog in the park if you only wanted him to fetch the first one … Would you?

The Agreement Frame this is very useful in conflict resolution of all kinds as well as Sales and Negotiation. While a very simple language pattern to use the effects are very powerful and turns a potential negative disagreement into a positive agreement (pacing) and then (Leading) adding your mutual highest intention to the close.

In Business as in Life conflict happens let us be honest. What I have noticed more and more is that people have a hard time getting their emotions together when they feel as if they are caught off guard.

In order to perfect this Language pattern then, there are many other components to consider.

Breathe
Firstly begin to slow things down inside you so that you can observe your own breath, which will give you enough time to get your emotions in check. Three deep breaths in and out very slowly will help.

Focus
Focus on the Result you want instead of looping the offending incident or the disagreement.
Great Communicators do not allow anyone to take them off track (no matter how persuasive they are).
The Goal is always to find new and creative ways to get back on track,
While you may be able to use what the person you are communicating with is saying to influence their behavior, remember a simple formula of pacing and leading.

Patience
Remember to begin the pattern again even when it appears not to be working, change context, change tonality, Pace Rhythm breathing and maintain a calm state that supports the person you are speaking with while waiting patiently for your outcome.
It can be as simple as repeating what you are saying in new and creative ways.

Calibrate
Of course it will also be necessary to use finely tuned Sensory Acuity to Pace and Lead, detect and calibrate throughout the Process.

And
Instead of using "But" (which negates the previous statement) use "And" which also keeps the communication moving forward.

Be Congruent
Open your statement with Matching Body language and Facial expressions..
You can say

“I agree and ...”
“I appreciate and..”

Notice how we are using "And" instead of But.

Refrain from using "I understand" as we are all operating from different "Maps of the world" and you quite likely do not exactly understand although you can agree or appreciate.

Win Win
Discover what the highest intention of the objection is and then continue to elicit the Value until you find a mutual value (something that you have in common).

Example:
(Without the Agreement Frame)

Sheila: "Can you come over tonight I need some help stripping the wallpaper in the living room so when Mum and Dad are here this weekend the room looks fresh".

Mike: "I've had an exhausting day and all I want to do is flop on my bed when I get home I'll come after work tomorrow".

Result: "Dead End" no foot in the door to resume conversation.

Here is what happens when you use The Agreement Frame:

Sheila: "Can you come over tonight, I need some help stripping the wallpaper in the living room so when Mum and Dad are here this weekend the room looks fresh".

Mike: "Sheila I agree, And we should freshen the room for Mum and Dad.
Tell you what, I've had an exhausting day and all I want to do is flop on my bed when I get home, if I crash this evening I will have all the more strength to finish the whole thing tomorrow night, How does that sound".

Review
Did you notice how he agreed in the beginning "I agree and" (pacing and maintaining Rapport) ... and at the end he communicated the mutual highest intention of getting it done for Mum and Dad in time and provided a solution. (Leading)

This is an Elegant Language Pattern with a win win solution which diffuses any risk of breaking rapport in communication.

Rapport
Remember and maintain Rapport
Pace and then Lead
Calibrate for the highest intention you both agree on

Wrap the frame around your answer - as shown.
Keep going in new and creative ways using this formula until you get the result you are looking for.
Everyone wins with this pattern.
